Mgr. Dávid Kollár, PhD.

He is a graduate of the Faculty of Political Sciences and International Relations of Matej Bel University in Banská Bystrica. He finished his bachelor's studies in 2008 with a state exam and defense of his bachelor's thesis on the topic "EU-Russia: a new partnership?", he completed his master's studies in 2010, when he defended his diploma thesis on the topic "Relations between the Russian Federation and NATO after the fall of bipolarity and prospects for development in future". He completed his doctoral studies in 2013 by defending his dissertation on the topic "Position of the Russian Federation in the current security environment". While studying at FPVMV, he completed a semester stay at the University of Bologna at the Roberto Ruffilli Faculty of Political Sciences in Forli.

In his academic work, he focuses on the theory and practice of geopolitics, hybrid threats, the post-Soviet space, state security policy, and national and international crisis management. It also provides teaching in English, specifically the subjects Political System of the Slovak Republic and Crisis Management. Since the beginning of his academic career, he has attended several lectures at universities and colleges in Dubrovnik, Prague, České Budějovice, Kutná Hora, Brno, Belgrade, Mostar and Pila in Poland.

He is currently a member of the research team of the APVV project "It's not true, but it could be": Conspiracy theories and hoaxes in the modern development of Slovakia in the European context and two projects VEGA Sovereignty as a factor in the crisis of the liberal world order and Cyber-social security threats in the current the world: a case study on the threats of disinformation and emerging threats in a societal context.

He participates in domestic and international scientific conferences, publishes in magazines and proceedings, and heads the organizational team of the international scientific conference Security Forum, which has been very solidly established in the domestic and foreign security community for more than 17 years.
