She graduated from the Faculty of Economics of the University of Economics and Scientific Postgraduate Studies in the field of Sectoral and cross-sectional economics. She worked for ten years in economic research (foreign trade, foreign investments, sectoral economies), then in the private sector with a focus on finance in analytical and subsequently leading positions at the headquarters of the three largest banks in the Czech Republic, before that at the Export Guarantee and Insurance Company (EGAP as an analyst territorial risks). At Komerční banka, she headed the marketing department (market research), at Česká spořitelna, the financial risk management department, and at ČSOB, she worked in the strategy department in analyzes for the bank's board of directors (e.g. Strategy Slovakia) and documents for due diligence before the privatization of the bank. Subsequently, she worked for five years as an editor and commentator for Hospodářské noviny and later for the weekly Ekonom. For a significant part of her professional life, she worked as the chief analyst of the Czech Statistical Office, from where the largest share of the total number of 101 author publications stored in the database of the National Library (several dozen studies with ISBNs) comes from.

Member of the international scientific teams of two TAČR projects with a guarantee from VŠE (2012-2013, 2014-2015 on insolvency research).
Member of the working and then coordination group of the OECD project "Global Project on Measuring the Progress of Societies", the results of the group's work were presented at OECD world forums by Nobel Prize winners (personal participation in the 3rd OECD World Forum in South Korea and the 5th in Mexico).
