Štěpán Chalupa has been working at UCP (formerly VŠH and VŠHE) since 2015. During his tenure, he gradually worked his way up from the position of assistant professor of the marketing department to its secretary and later head. Since 2023, he has been working in the position of vice-rector for cooperation with practice, and as part of his activity, he guarantees the professional practice of UCP students. As part of the teaching, he focuses on marketing, digital marketing and information and communication technologies. This focus is also intertwined with the obtained doctorate in the field of Information and Knowledge Management at UHK.
During his tenure, he participated in several educational (ERAMUS) and research projects (TAČR with a focus on process management and the use of virtual reality as part of soft skills training). He focuses his research on data-driven marketing and revenue management in accommodation services. Štěpán Chalupa is the author of more than two dozen articles and conference contributions indexed in recognized databases with international acclaim.
