Roman Murgaš, Ph.D.

Expert with more than 10 years of experience in the analysis of international relations in energy, global and regional energy security, with a specialization in EU energy diplomacy, diversification projects and the gas industry. In 2019, he completed his doctoral studies at the Moscow State Institute of International Relations (MGIMO University), during which he focused on selected aspects of bilateral energy relations between the EU and the Russian Federation and the EU and Ukraine.
In the years 2019-2024, during his tenure at the Ministry of Economy of the Slovak Republic, he held the positions of delegate of the Slovak Republic in international and intergovernmental organizations International Energy Agency ("IEA"), Energy Charter, International Agency for Renewable Resources ("IRENA") and Energy Community . In the years 2021-2023, he worked as an assistant professor at the University of St. Cyril and Methodius in Trnava, where he taught subjects focusing on the foreign policy of the Slovak Republic and Eastern partnerships.
Since 2024, he has been working at the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs of the Slovak Republic, where he focuses on the topics of energy security of the Slovak Republic and relevant infrastructure projects as part of economic diplomacy.
