On 22nd November, first and second-year students of Hospitality Management set out to Las
Adelitas in Prague to connect theory with practice and experience service in an authentic,
busy restaurant environment on their own. They were introduced to the basics of mixology,
food preparation and food serving, and they were also told how the restaurant works from the
employees´ point of view. Students discovered that running a restaurant is not as easy as it
seems and that thought-out organisation and structure within employees are essential.
Students were allowed to try food serving and cocktail mixing by themselves. This
extraordinary experience was enriched by food degustation traditional Mexican food and
drinks.
